    New Activ Absence Brand Launches at CIPD Conference 2014

    Activ Absence Control is now Activ Absence!

    Following the hotly anticipated release of the new 7.11 version, Activ Absence Control has been re-branded simply ‘Activ Absence‘.  The new name is, like the software, simple, clean, and easy to use.

    Activ Absence launched the new brand at the prestigious CIPD Annual Conference 2014 in Manchester, which is widely recognised as the ‘forum’ for all things HR and it was particularly well received by the plethora of HR experts, managers and consultants who attended the conference.

    Commercial Director Adrian Lewis observed:

    Every single HR Manager I speak to on a daily basis is looking to reduce the headache of sickness absence management.  They are also tired of the manpower it takes to answer a flurry of simple questions from employees asking ‘how much holiday have I got left?’.  Even simple requests like ‘have you got any holiday forms left?’ when asked for the twentieth time that day can drive HR teams to despair!

    We re-branded ourselves as Activ Absence because our software is about so much more than controlling one aspect of absence management.  We are all about actively managing absence in all its forms, empowering employees to resolve their own day to day queries and freeing up the HR team to manage their staff rather than managing the administration behind staff absence.  Our software makes it simple and easy and now our name reflects that ethos!

    The expanding commercial team at Codel Software offers a very warm welcome to Jemma Hughes this week as the new Marketing Co-ordinator for the Activ Absence brand!

    Jemma graduated with a BA degree in Media Studies, specialising in Marketing and PR from Swansea University last year. She brings a creative flair and wealth of experience in PR and Marketing to the team both through her academic background and extensive work experience in Public Relations, Events and Marketing in blue chip organisations in London as well as her ongoing involvement through a national charity.

    Helping Hands Home Care successfully deploy Activ Absence Control

    Activ Absence Control is an easy system to use and is visible to all Departmental Heads / Teams. For a company like Helping Hands who have many Managers working out in the community it is a great tool to be able to see who is in/out at a click of a link.

    We manager absence levels through the Bradford factor which is visible to all employees on their dash board and this has had a positive impact on the absence levels, there are very clear expectations, the absence triggers set support the HR function and the Departmental Managers to monitor absence effectively and consistently.

    The system is productive as there is no more paper or filling in of forms. The history log of the return to work interviews is key to managing absence and the reporting on trends of absence is very beneficial to monitoring absence cases/meetings with individuals.

    The technical departments response is effective and quick, I requested a particular report that wasn’t already in the system, I was very impressed that within 48 hours they had set it up and delivered what I needed.

    All in all, we are very happy with the system, it has improved our absence monitoring and reporting processes.
